Case Study: How BAT built stronger ecosystem relationships with their suppliers

BAT

Strengthening supply chain participation in meeting 2025 sustainability goals.

THE CHALLENGE

To launch their ambitious transformation programme, BAT asked Supplier Day to help build a more open and interactive relationship with its supplier ecosystem. Ultimately, BAT wanted to strengthen ‘customer of choice’ status, where suppliers prioritise BAT for the proactive supply of innovative solutions to opportunities, challenges and disruptions.

OUR SOLUTION

In collaboration with BAT, Supplier Day designed, produced and hosted the A Better Tomorrow Together launch event, ‘blending’ physical C-Suite panel discussions with virtual supplier engagement discussions for a hybrid event experience. The live panel immersed attendees in the purpose and pillars of BAT’s transformation programme, stimulating virtual conversation, collaboration and contribution across the globe..

THE IMPACT

Through this virtual experience, BAT was able to launch their transformation programme with more impact and greater scale than through a physical event. The event proved the power of virtual events to embed knowledge and stimulate crucial dialogue throughout the supply chain with 95% of attendees ‘feel more aligned with BAT’s programme’.

BAT Supplier Day

Great event. Improved my understanding of BAT’s ESG strategy and what is expected from us as a strategic partner. It also helped to see our product offerings could deliver potential value to BAT.”
